Chicago Blues Festival 2009

Today opened the 2009 Chicago Blues Festival. Everyone honored Koko Taylor but the show must go on and it did with great Blues. Six stages of continuous Blues, now how could you ask for more! I'll start with some Blues fans !!

Ok now on to the Blues Musicians. Eddie Taylor Jr and Harmonica Hinds stomped the Mississippi Juke Joint Stage..

Gloria Thompson Rogers rocked the Front Porch Stage.

Mary Lane's Blues Allstars had the fans swinging.

The Maxwell Street Revisited with 77 year old Dancin' Perkins, Iceman Robinson, Smilin' Bobby, Bobby Too Tough, and Frank "Lil Sonny" Scott Jr. were awesome.

Well the Mac did it again ! What a concert!! Stevie at her best brought the house down with Rhianna, Smokin' ! Mick's drum solo was Rockin' .

And John provided his great bass on several of the songs.

Now Lindsay just blew the join away !!! His solo on "Go Your Own Way" was teriffic and his solo on "Big Love" was DOPE !!!!

If you see them scheduled for your area GO SEE THEM!! They never put on a bad concert......... Just one of the best 70's,80's,90's, and 2000's groups you will ever see. Think I like them??
