A Bottle Of Wine!

A Touching Story All Women Will Adore...........

For all of the women who are married, were married, wish you were married, or wish you weren't married, this is something to smile about the next time you see a bottle of wine....

Jen was driving home from one of her entertainment trips in Northern Arizona when she saw an elderly Navajo woman walking on the side of the road.

As the trip was a long and quiet one, Jen stopped the car and asked the Navajo woman if she would like a ride.

With a silent nod of thanks, the woman got into the car.

Resuming the journey, Jen tried in vain to make a bit of small talk with the Navajo woman.

The old woman just sat silently, looking intently at everything she saw, studying every little detail, until she noticed a brown bag on the seat next to Jen.

"What in bag?" asked the old woman.

Jen looked down at the brown bag and said,"It's a bottle of wine. I got it for my husband."

The Navajo woman was silent for another moment or two. Then speaking with the quiet wisdom of an elder, she said,

"Good Trade".

American Idol Results

The American Idol results had a few surprises. I think America got it wrong when they didn't keep Joe Munoz who was much better then Tim Urban but that's now history. The other 3 that were voted off were: Tyler Grady, who's comments were bleeped after the result was announced. The 2 girls were Janell Wheeler a wine sales rep, and Ashley Rodriguez.
Guest appearances by Allison Iraheta a strong rocker from last years show.

and Kris Allen last years American Idol.


A side note on judge Kara..... She behaved tonight with her husband watching her from his front row seat.

American Idol -- Guys Turn.

Tonight it was the guys turn. Todrick Hall opened and wasn't one of the better ones. I think he will move on though. Moving through the remaining 11, here's how I saw it.
Top 6 : Casey James, Aaron Kelly, Joe Munoz, "Big Mike" Lynche, Tyler Grady,and Lee Dewyze.
Bottom 6 who join Todrick are: Jermaine Sellers, Alex Lambert, Andrew Garcia, John Park, and Tim Urban.
I think John Park and Tim Urban will be gone. We'll see tomorrow when 2 girls and 2 guys are cut.

Now to judge Kara. She is really hot for Casey James. Simon called her a "Cougar" and it is really apparent she is seeing stars when she sees 27 year old Casey. I agree with Simon, Kara is a married "Cougar."

American Idol-- Top 12 Girls Get It On!

As Idol got under way Tuesday, Ellen had a little comedic go with Simon. She told Ryan that Simon was hitting on her at the last show. NO WAY SIMON WOULD HIT ON ELLEN D.

Then the top 12 girls tried there best. Some we very good, some were ok, and some were not to good.
Top 6 were: Paige Miles, Crystal Bowersox, Siobhan Magnus,Lilly Scott, and Katie Stevens.
Bottom 6 were: DiDi Benami, Katelyn Epperly, Michelle Delamor, Lacey Brown, Haeley Vaughn,and Ashley Rodriguez.
I think Haeley and Ashley will be going home.

Tomorrow night it's the guys turn.

Merle & Kris -- Two Old Guys Still Havin' Fun !!

Merle Haggard & Kris Kristofferson can still sing. They put together a nice concert of old country music that each one has written and recorded during their long careers. It happened last night at the Rosemont Theatre. Kris opened.

Eric Clapton's Crossroads Concert tickets go on sale Saturday at 10a.

The concert is at Toyota Park Saturday June 26, Gates open at 10a.

I went to the second Concert a few years ago and it was the greatest with many of the same musicians. Funny Man Bill Murray hosted the last concert, maybe he'll host this one too!! Its an all day ROCKIN' GOOD TIME !!

AMERICAN IDOL - Top 24

American Idol now has its top 24. The Wednesday show completed the field. Seven had made it Tuesday.
The Wednesday program opened with Janell Wheeler making it. Then 16 contestants more were given the good news.Some of the better ones are:

Not Musical but..... An Italian's Confession.

An Italian's Confession


An elderly Italian man who lived on the outskirts of Rimini, Italy, went to the local church for confession.

When the priest slid open the panel in the confessional, the man said,"Father.. During World War II, a beautiful Jewish woman from our neighborhood knocked urgently on my door and asked me to hide her from the Nazis. So I hid her in my attic."

The priest replied,"That was a wonderful thing you did, and you have no need to confess that."

"There's more to tell, Father. She started to repay me with sexual favors. This happened several times a week, and sometimes twice on Sundays."

The priest said, "That was a long time ago and by doing what you did, you placed the two of you in great danger, but two people under those circumstances can easily succumb to the weakness of the flesh. However, if you are truly sorry for you actions, you are indeed forgiven."

"Thank you Father. That's a great load off my mind. I do have one more question."

"And what is that?" asked the priest.

"Should I tell her the war is over?"
