Joe started playing guitar at age 14 and soon studied guitar. In 1978 Joe moved to California and begin teaching the likes of Kirk Hammett of Metallica, David Bryson of Counting Crows, Kevin Cadogan from Three Eyes Blind, and several others.
Joe has have several albums of his guitar style music and a few years ago formed a rock band called 'Chickenfoot' with Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony, & Chad Smith.
On his current tour, Joe brought drummer Marco Minnemann, bass player, Bryan Beller, and a terrific keyboard & guitarist, Mike Keneally.
