ZZ Top and Tom Petty at Summerfest

The bearded one's, ZZ Top, opened Friday night's concert playing several of their songs and getting the fans whooping it up. Billy Gibbons, Dusty Hill and the beardless, Frank Beard got several standing ovations with some Rock and some Blues and a lot of rhythm.

Chicago Blues Festival

Opening day for the 2010 Chicago Blues Festival and the spill over crowd from the Blackhawks Parade and Rally brought many Blues fans into Grant Park.

Dave Weld and the Imperial Flames opened at the Gibson Guitar Crossroads Stage.Check them out!




Then a walk over to Mississippi Juke Joint for some Blues by Grady Champion.

At the Front Porch Stage were Henry Gray and Andy Cornett.



My last stop was at the Blues Village Street Stage and Blues by Chris James, Patrick Rynn, and Rob Stone.


The CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS STANLEY CUP PARADE

The Chicago Blackhawks Stanley Cup Parade drew about 2 million fans just to see these great athletes who have given Chicago it's first Stanley Cup in 41 years." The Rockin' Old Man" was one of them. Here's what I saw.

Now let the Parade begin!! First some of the BlackHawk staff families.

Next came some of the radio and TV announcers and All Time Hawk Greats!! Bobby Hull, Stan Mikita, Tony Esposito, Dennis Savard, and a few other Hawk greats.

"HERE COME THE HAWKS THE MIGHTY BLACKHAWKS" and the STANLEY CUP.

Then once the parade pasted, everybody started following it down the street.

REPEAT !! REPEAT !!

The Cup Belongs to the CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS !!

After 49 years, the Stanley Cup has returned to the CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS. Congrats to this great team !! Let the parade begin!!

The ROCKIN' OLD MAN has been lucky to have seen 2 Stanley Cups. I saw one of the games at the Chicago Stadium in '61 and now on TV from Philly.

Kansas,Foreigner, & STYX

Saturday night was a wet concert down at the Charter One Pavilion.



A great lineup of three groups from the 70's, 80's and today. Opening the concert where the "Dust In The Wind", KANSAS.
