LYLE LOVETT and his Large Band at the WISF

Last Thursday "The Rockin' Old Man" took a trip to the Wisconsin State Fair and got to see LYLE LOVETT and his Large Band.

Before the concert, I met a friend who provided great security the last few years, and he always does a great job.

And of course my "Neighbors for the Night" were this great couple from Green Bay. Even thought they were hardcore "Packer" fans, and me a "Bear" fan, we still "Rocked."

A western swing group called "Asleep At The Wheel" opened with several of their grammy winning old time country songs. These dudes have been together for several years , originally formed in the '70s. Lead singer and frontman Ray Benson, has revived the sounds of Western's swing godfather, Bob Wills. Take a look at these "Country Dudes."

"San Antonio Rose"

More "Asleep At The Wheel" at www.asleepatthewheel.com . Check it out and maybe buy a CD of theirs.

Time for LYLE LOVETT and His Large Band.

"The World Of Rock N' Roll"

"That's Right" (You're Not From Texas) w/Ray Benson
