Saturday, "The Chicago Bluegrass & Blues Fest" graced the Roosevelt Auditorium Stage, bringing great Bluegrass and Blues performances all day. The fest opened at 2:00 pm with Chasing Shade in the lobby. The first main stage musicians started at 2:45pm with Majors Junction, followed by the Henhouse Prowlers, a local Chicago group who got the fans jumping. They are scheduled to perform at "Fitzgerald's" in March so check them out.Next up was The Giving Tree Band another great bluegrass group. Joe Purdy followed and he was ok.
David Grisman Quartet, Del McCoury Band,The Big Mom Jam, and closing out the fest was The Bluegrass Ball Jam.
