American Idol moved to LA tuesday night with guest judges Avril Lavigne outfitted in a devils cape (with horns) and "Red Hot" Katy Perry who was very feisty and battled with judge Kara.

As a side note, Ellen DeGeneres calls Simon a "prima donna" for showing up an hour and a half late for the taping of the first day in Hollywood which will air later. And Fox execs have put Tommy Mottola, the former Sony music chief, who was once married to Mariah Carey, at the top of the list to replace Simon. However, Simon wants Tommy to team up with him and Paula on Simon's upcoming "The X Factor" show premiering next year. The battle is on!!
